Diane was my closest friend in elementary and high school. I attended middle school, aka, junior high in Connecticut. I remember that we would sit on her porch nightly discussing various topics that teen-agers do i.e. love, college, and what we plan do with our lives. Every Sunday, Diane's Mother would bake a cake. She made the best cakes! I would look forward to having cake with the Williams' family every Sunday.
When I graduated from MHS and went off to college in California, Diane never missed calling me on my birthday and likewise she could count on me to always be late with her card. When I was notified of her death, I had her birthday card ready to be mailed. She was gone too soon. I think of her often and there is still an empty space in my heart because of her absence. God bless you Diane. You are now with God and the angels.
