Are you still working? Posted Monday, October 11, 2010 10:58 AM Interestingly I retired three years ago and have this crazy sometime job with Edward Jones Financial Advisors. I work in offices on call once or twice a month. It is just enough work for me. Last summer I worked 8 weeks for someone out for surgery. During that time I was offered another 4 week job and declined. The next day I got a call offering me a full time job. I definitely declined. A few days per month is fine, but no more full time for me. Isn't is sad that some many people are out of work and I keep being offered jobs? What is your take on employment and the economy now? Are the jobs coming back in your area of the country? Phoenix is beginning to open the job market a little more. |

CURRENTLY, MY REALTOR CHALLENGES HERE IN FLORIDA ALONG WITH THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BEING A DIRECTOR ON THE LOCAL R.E. ASSOCIATION BOARD CERTAINLY KEEPS ME ACTIVE. ON SUNDAY MORNINGS , I'M STILL DOING VOLUNTEER WORK IN THE MIRACLE CHAPEL AT A FLORIDA STATE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION. THIS WEEKLY COMMITTMENT IS VERY REWARDING AND MEMORABLE. I PLAN TO SOON WORK ON THE SECOND PHASE OF MY BOOK "THE TRADER" WHICH WILL BRING THE TRUE WALL STREET LIFE IN THE 70's, 80's and 90's TO ANYONE WHO CARES. STAYING ACTIVE WILL ALWAYS BE IMPORTANT TO ME ! |
